Escaped Nisqually Jail Inmate Captured Sunday on JBLM
Neighbor Wants Escape Warning Notification Plan in Place

An inmate escaped from the Nisqually Jail on Sunday and was apprehended within an hour, according to law enforcement.
The inmate,
47-year-old Tim Saterdal, attempted to escape the jail by climbing over
the fence surrounding the recreation yard at about 1:30 p.m. Sunday,
said Nisqually Police Chief Joe Kautz. Saterdal received some “bad news”
earlier in the day before he scaled the fence, Kautz said.
