Yesterday (11/23/14) it was brought
to our attention that an inmate escaped from the Nisqually Indian Jail, 11702
Yelm Highway SE. approximately between 2 P.M. and 4 P.M.
The suspect was on
foot for over 2 hours. He was later apprehended by K-9 and brought into
custody.
The only way we were notified was that
a concerned neighbor noticed the police with their vehicles out on foot in our
neighborhood. There has been NO information released and No further information
available.
The only way we know information is
through our efforts.
There NEEDS TO BE a system in place RIGHT
NOW to notify local area neighbors of these events.
Since this facility was built in a
neighborhood there NEEDS to be something put into place to immediately notify area neighbors for their safety.
Help us DEMAND from the Nisqually Indian Tribe and our local Law enforcement
– Thurston County Sheriffs act proactively to ensure this does not happen again
and if it does that we will be notified.
Our lives and property are at RISK.
